Verónica Pacheco Costa

Verónica Pacheco Costa is associate professor in English Philology in the Department of Philology and Translation of the Faculty of Humanities at the Pablo de Olavide University in Seville. Her research focuses mainly on the analysis and translation into Spanish of anglosaxon literary works written in the 19th and 20th centuries by women, especially drama and short fiction. She is the author of six books, and fifty articles and book chapters, including literary translation. Her recent publication: Theatre and politics: suffragist theatre in the United States, «Revista Internacional de Pensamiento Político», vol. 16 (2022), and the book Introducción, edición y traducción del libro de Isabel Oyarzábal Smith: Alejandra Kollontay. Embajadora de Rusia (Dickynson, 2023). In 2018 she received the “María Martínez Sierra” Theatrical Translation Award given by the Spanish Stage Directors Association (ADE).
