Irene Curulli

Irene Curulli is an Assistant Professor at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in The Netherlands. Her primary research focus is the revitalization of former industrial landscapes, particularly water-related ones. As an expert in this field, she was visiting scholar at Cornell University, University of Oregon and guest critic at GSD-Harvard University. She is author of the following books: Ghost industries. Industrial water landscapes on the Willamette River in Oregon (2018), The Making and Remaking of Dismissed Industrial Sites (2014) and Industrial Canal Waterfronts in The Netherlands (2012). She is member of the ICOMOS-IFLA-International Scientific Committee on Cultural Landscapes.
