Matteo Botteghi

Matteo Botteghi graduated in Health and Biomedical Physics from the University of Bologna and obtained his PhD in Clinical and Molecular Pathology from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the Polytechnic University of Marche. His professional journey is marked by the synergy between ICT and Digital Health, gathering extensive expertise in scenarios characterized by resource scarcity and widespread digital divide issues. He dedicated the WaidX project to implementing an innovative global Telemedicine and Telepathology platform. Matteo is a lecturer in university courses and master's programs in healthcare technologies and collaborates with and serves on the scientific committees of non-profit associations. He is the president of the Pathoxphere consortium, established alongside several partners involved in developing Telepathology and cancer diagnosis projects for developing countries.
