Giancarlo Ceccarelli

Giancarlo Ceccarelli, MD, PhD, MSc, is an infectious disease specialist working in the Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases of Policlinico Umberto I of Rome - Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). He has been actively involved in the study of global health, emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases and health determinants in mobile and migrant populations for over 20 years. He is the author of over 160 scientific publications on the following topics: STDs, infections in critically ill patients and in special populations (such as migrants), microbiome, multidrug-resistant pathogens, emerging and re-emerging infections, public health and global health. He has participated in the drafting of many medical textbooks and books on the subject of health problems connected with migratory phenomena.
