Miller – Chair of English Linguistics at the LILEC Department of the University of Bologna up to her retirement in 2019, and honorary Alma Mater Professor. Its chapters take the reader through cutting-edge research in some of the most important areas of Miller’s wide-ranging academic interests, rooted in Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), including verbal art, discourse analysis, teaching, translation, register studies, and applications of SFL to different languages and modes.
