Martin V. Melosi

Martin V. Melosi was born and raised in San Jose, California. He received his BA and MA in History at the University of Montana (1969, 1971) and a PhD in History at the University Texas, Austin (1975).  Melosi is Cullen Professor Emeritus of History and Founding Director of the Center for Public History at the University of Houston. He is internationally known in the areas of Environmental, Energy and Urban History, and has written or edited 22 books and more than 100 articles and book chapters.
